  • The lens features 8-element in 6 groups lens including two aspherical lenses. This design minimizes aberrations from the center to the edges, delivering high-resolution image quality.

  • Advanced processing technology has been applied to make the lenses thinner while increasing the use of metal components in the exterior, ensuring durability. This results in a compact, lightweight design with a total length of just 23 mm and a weight of 90 g, making it the smallest and lightest lens^*3 in the XF lineup.

  • The lens achieves a minimum object distance of 20cm while maintaining a compact design, allowing for a wide variety of photographs - from tabletop photography to travel photography.

  • It employs a full group focusing system, which suppresses aberration variation depending on the focus position, enabling high image quality photography even at close distance.

  • A powerful DC motor enables high-speed AF, delivering a seamless photographic experience that ensures every moment is captured, regardless of the setting.

   

  Stylish, easy-to-use design and toughness

  • The lens boasts a slanted design where the lens barrel gradually narrows toward the front. Its carefully crafted exterior, with attention to texture and color, create a stylish and high-quality appearance.

  • A high-precision sensor has been adopted for the manual focus ring, enabling focus adjustment with fewer rotations. This design ensures smooth and precise manual focus ring operation tailored to the user’s shooting intentions, supporting comfortable shooting.

  • A fixed ring is positioned between the manual focus ring and the aperture ring. This prevents one ring from being accidentally turned when rotating the other, ensuring effortless and precise operation.

  • An Anti-slip coating has been applied to the lens mount components, allowing a secure grip during changing lenses. This feature makes the process of swapping lenses smooth and reliable.

  • The lens barrel features nine sealing points, offering a dustproof and water-resistant build, along with the ability to withstand temperature as low as -10°C. This construction allows for confident use in environments with light rain or dust.
